Our Fayette Saddle Bag is named for Fayette County. Fayette was one of the original three counties created from the former Kentucky County, Virginia, by the Virginia Act in 1780, along with Jefferson and Lincoln counties becoming the Commonwealth of Kentucky in 1792.

Our eye glass and sun glass case is named for Taylor County, home of Damon Earl Allen, Sr. (January 19, 1921 – February 15, 2009), an optometrist from Campbellsville in central Kentucky, who as a three-term president of the Kentucky Optometric Association and led the campaign for passage of a bill permitting optometrists to prescribe medication for their patients. Allen was honored by the Kentucky Optometric Association as the first recipient of its "Lifetime Achievement Award", which thereafter bears Allen's name.
As the end of 2016 wrapped up and we awoke on the first day of 2017, we realized we were heading into our first full year as a brand and business. With only three months under our belt in 2016, our “Soft Launch” was behind us and we needed to hit the ground running.
