Kentucky Inspired Product Names

We were honored to be a part of Louisville Bespoke, collaborative fashion organization located in Portland, Kentucky. The first Louisville Bespoke Fashion Event on Friday, October 21 was a huge success with over 500 in attendance. Proceeds from the event will go towards the renovations to a permanent design space for education, resources and equipment for small batch manufacturing runs.

We were featured in a few articles about the Design Terminal and Louisville Bespoke.

Our Mason Everyday Tote gets its name from Mason County, which is named for George Mason, the father of the Bill of Rights … Rights for a nation and “everyday people” … it’s OK, sing along.

We want to thank everyone who attended out launch event last week. We had a great crowd and had fun seeing old friends and meeting new ones.

 

In 1785, Madison County was established from land given by Lincoln County and is the sixth county in order of formation. Madison County is named for Virginia statesman and political theorist, James Madison, who later became the fourth President of the United States. He is hailed as the "Father of the Constitution" for his pivotal role in drafting and promoting the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

Why not just call it a small satchel? 

We spent the last weekend constructing our event displays and realized that pretty much every weekend we are making something … and we love it.      

One might think we named the Lincoln Satchel after President Abraham Lincoln.

Yes, the 16th president of the United States, was the first president born west of the Appalachian Mountains. And yes, his boy hood home was located at Knob Creek Farm, where the family lived from 1811 until 1816. And yes, you can visit his birthplace, located off of U.S. 31E, near Louisville, KY, which is part of the National Park System.
