Named for the Franklin Street, the current home of the Vendome Copper & Brass Works, Inc.
The great bourbons, whiskies and moonshines of the world all have one thing in common: they are created in copper stills. Vendome Copper & Brass is one of only a few U.S. copper fabricators who make copper stills for the distillation industry. When distilling in copper, the copper reacts on a molecular level with the sulfurs omitted by the fermenting yeast. It “cancels-out” the sulfur taste which would otherwise be bitter and not as smooth.
