Jacob Koozie - The most luxurious koozie you will ever own!
The most luxurious koozie you will ever own is named for our ancestor, Jacob Steurer, who came to America in 1855 from Kork bei Kehl in Baden, Germany. He founded his first brewery in 1866 in the Highlands and moved to a second site at 1372 Story Avenue, located in the Butchertown neighborhood of Louisville, KY. At his height, he produced as much as 6,000 barrels of common beer a year.
The tradition of small batch and craft beer continues in Louisville area today. As of 2017, there were over 30 craft brewers with seven more to open in 2018.
